Our forward-thinking Academy, established in 2006, offers its students second-to-none, comprehensive, and contemporary training to prepare them for the demands of modern hairdressing.
Passion, commitment, and technical excellence are all values at the heart of Vincent Bell and so we’re extremely proud of the Academy’s success rate and industry recognition that it has received. Being named the Training Academy of the Year (2016) at the Scottish Hair and Beauty Awards (SHABA) shows there’s truly no finer beginning in the education of anyone choosing a career in hairdressing.
At Vincent Bell Academy, we do things slightly differently. For over 20 years, we’ve been driven to provide courses that not only inspire, but that make a difference. It’s one of the Academy’s primary aims that students have a comprehensive understanding of the many cutting and colouring techniques used in today’s fast-paced salon. This is something that sets us apart and makes the Vincent Bell Training Academy a contemporary, forward-thinking training provider.

Qualifications
Skills Development Scotland funded Modern Apprenticeships are available across a wide range of sectors, including but not limited to:
Hairdressing SCQF Level 5 and Level 6
Business and Administration SCQF Level 5 and Level 6
Management SCQF Level 7
These apprenticeships are designed to support skills development in various industries, providing learners with the opportunity to gain valuable qualifications while working in their chosen sector.
In addition, we offer the Assessor Award (L&D9DI), which is not part of the Modern Apprenticeship framework but provides a nationally recognised qualification for those looking to pursue a career in assessment and training.
A vast majority of our students are trained to level three and follow the route of level 2 in 12 to 15 months and level 3 in 12 to 15 months. This is funded by Skills Development Scotland.
Our training operates at various times throughout the week, and everything is fully supervised. We also offer a selection of one-day and two-day cutting courses.
